Coed Varsity Swimming · Coach Kelly McClanahan to lead Swimming Program

Cleveland High School is announcing the hiring of Kelly McClanahan to lead the Blue Raider Swimming Team.  She comes with a wealth of swimming experience as she led the University of Northern Colorado Swimming Team and assisted with the University of Wyoming Swim program.   Coach McClanahan leads the US Sports Nike Camp and our local Aqua Tigers. Coach McClanahan has many swimming honors of her own. She was an All-American swimmer during her days in the pool at Baylor School and earned a scholarship to swim for the Louisville Varsity Swim team while in college.

Principal Autumn O’Bryan says, “Our Blue Raider Swimming Team is looking forward to being led by Coach McClanahan.  She has a tremendous background in swimming and a plethora of experience around a pool. We are fortunate to have her coach our swimming team.”

Cleveland High School Athletic Director adds, “We are excited to have a coach of the caliber of Coach McClanahan.  She brings a tremendous amount of experience and expertise to our Blue Raider Program. She has a passion for student-athletes and for the sport of swimming.  There is no doubt that she will accomplish many great things during her tenure as our Head Swimming Coach.”

Tryouts will be Monday at the Raider Pool (located at the Denning Center)  from 4:30 – 6:30.  For more information contact David Turner at dturner@clevelandschools.org.
